I did my best for you, But it was not enough, Everything fell through, I wish it hadn't but, I took the high road and never looked back now, I took the high road and never looked back again. But you'll never know, What you meant to me, (this generation continues to amaze me) And though I'll never show, The things I never meant you to see. Take me back to what we used to be, Show me the person that I used to see. I wanna see the other side, Take a step back, look at yourself now do you recognise, Yourself in what you've become, And our things are all said and done, Now its over, Now its over. I'm taking it back again, Talked to another of your friends, She said it's not the first time, I guess I'll go on without you, But I don't wanna go without you. Show me the person you want to be, These false pretences don't fool me, Your lies are causing consequences. I'll call it counter-intuitive, I'm not saying it's you, Or that I was warned to, Stay away. I wanna see the other side, Take a step back, look at yourself now do you recognise, Yourself in what you've become, And our things are all said and done, Now its over, Now its over.

The promise of nothing would be enough, I want nothing from you, cause that's all you've built up, You're burning bridges to the ground. And there's no common ground no more, And I hear they call you a (OH) Is that what you are now? I'm finding it hard but. And sometimes we fall down, But that's not to say that its not your fault. Crushed down till we drown, The waves won't pull us under now. And sometimes we fall down, But that's not to say that its not your fault. Crushed down till we drown, The waves won't pull us under now. If you're looking for an easy way out, You're going nowhere fast, You're only lying, to yourself, If it's worth fighting for. And I always thought you were the one to, Set the standards. Are you going home tonight? Will you sleep alright? And sometimes we fall down, But that's not to say that its not your fault. Crushed down till we drown, The waves won't pull us under now. And sometimes we fall down, But that's not to say that its not your fault. Crushed down till we drown, The waves won't pull us under now. Are you going home tonight? Did he tell you like I did?

Compass 03:20
Hibernation brings out the best in me , When I can't stand myself, Or the things I've seen. I guess the otherside of the grass isn't always green. I thought it was all the same, Aim high like they always say, But the small print reads a different way. And I'll stand on my own two feet you will not defeat me. No white flag or admit defeat cause that's not my way. I'll walk the depths of this earth, Misguided, struck off and burnt, Before I lay this to rest, And get this weight off of my chest. Again I'm homeward bound My anchor won't set in deeper ground Lost not found, My direction has lost me again. And I can't take this constant feeling of misplaced guilt, It wasn't me this time, last time or ever will be, And if I continue to feel this way, I think I'll lose myself and what I set out to be. Homeward bound, Lost my sense of direction. Lost not found, And I'm falling down These grey skies now, Covered my horizons , For too long now. And I'll stand on my own two feet you will not defeat me. No white flag or admit defeat cause that's not my way. I'll walk the depths of this earth, Misguided, struck off and burnt, Before I lay this to rest, And get this weight off of my chest.

Talk down to me, I don't care I've got better things to do. Make a scene, It's not like I'm listening, cause I never listen to you. You can't deny, The lack of concentration sometimes, Where apathy is commonplace and, I wouldn't lie to you And you're nothing special So put down your phone and do something useful, theres better things to do. It's less than productive, don't take it for granted. It's my way over yours any day, To say we used to be the same, When we were younger. When we were younger. Empty days of nothing, When you're stolen by your own, Desire to just get by. You want sympathy? You wont take that from me. I'll take my way over yours, Any day . At least I know I'll give my all To every thing. So put down your phone and do something useful, theres better things to do. It's less than productive, don't take it for granted. It's my way over yours any day, To say we used to be the same, When we were younger. When we were younger. Woah, It's getting cold again now, I'll get through to you some how, Don't be so self indulgent.

Naivety 03:27
I'll wait for London, And the sunrise, For everything to be ok in your eyes, This is not goodbye, This is just goodnight. I came to finish what I started here I try to speak but the words just disappear. Man up and tell me straight what's going on. It's been this way for years and I don't want to move on. Our days are numbered we know that Naivety took us so far We knew it would end eventually I can't believe we even got this far got this far got this far... A friend to me once said, If nothing dies and nothing ends Then this place will be filled with apathy and it's worse than when Procrastination takes a hold of me Cause it's not that I've been lying I just forgot to do the things I said I'd do. Our days are numbered we know that Naivety took us so far We knew it would end eventually I can't believe we even got this far Got this far got this far got this far... I'll never take you back And nothing that we had Could ever be part of these plans And now were counting the days Just counting the days Till its over. Our days are numbered we know that Naivety took us so far We knew it would end eventually I can't believe we even got this far
